Yesterday (Feb. 25) marked an important milestone for an eventual relaunch of The B Square Bulletin.

The old articles, published in the five and a half years before the shutdown late last year, were transferred to this new publishing platform.

The new platform ([Ghost](https://ghost.org/)) will help The B Square to expand its coverage from local government to most of the topics that a local paper might be expected to cover.

A proper soft relaunch is still several days, maybe weeks away. In the meantime, you might notice that some news is getting reported here. But that will probably be a little sporadic.

Over the last few weeks, in the tall evergreen tree at the corner of College Avenue and 6th Street on the historic county courthouse grounds, I have noticed a pair of red-tailed hawks that are now building a nest.

That’s how I would describe the current state of the B Square’s relaunch work—it’s in a nest-building phase.

I am gathering up digital twigs—archived articles, website settings, design elements, and backend configurations—and weaving them together with a social fabric.

It’s the kind of nest that I think will be sturdy enough to support a handful of news hawks providing daily news coverage for this community.

This nest still has a lot of loose pieces, but it’s starting to take shape. There’s already enough room to fly in, perch, and drop a news report.

I hope to be able to share more details within a week, even if a proper relaunch will not come until a while after the next update.

Thanks in advance for your patience.
