It was a good reminder that the start of high school football season is less than two weeks away. Next Friday (Aug. 15) the [Bloomington High School South Panthers](https://www.bhsspantherfootball.com/calendar-1) scrimmage at home against Lawrence Central to get ready for their first home game a week later against Columbus East. The [Bloomington High School North Cougars](https://sites.eventlink.com/s/bloomington-high-school-north/Events?for=cb61b13e-b7e0-4b5d-b9ef-aa6f394e7e1c&from=2025-07-06&to=2026-07-05&team=Football %28Boys V%29&teamID=5bd957ba-4f5e-45b9-a6f1-172ed5f340c6&academicYear=2025) head up the road to Martinsville for its first scrimmage next Friday (Aug. 15) and take on Mooresville for their home opener the following week. The [Edgewood High School Mustangs](https://mustangsgridironclub.com/) scrimmage against Indian Creek on Friday (Aug. 15) to tune up for their home opener against Mitchell the following week.
