### Weather Talk

Based on the National Weather Service forecast in [text](https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=39.1653&lon=-86.5264&ref=bsquarebulletin.com) and [charts](https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?w0=t&w1=td&w2=wc&w3=sfcwind&w3u=1&w4=sky&w5=pop&w6=rh&w7=rain&w8=thunder&w13u=0&w14u=1&w15u=1&AheadHour=48&FcstType=graphical&textField1=39.1648&textField2=-86.5174&site=all&unit=0&dd=&bw=&BackDay.x=47&BackDay.y=12&ref=bsquarebulletin.com) here’s some advice.

**Monday:** Wear your happy pants. Even though the day will start off at around 40F° and you’ll need a light jacket or sweater, it will warm up to 68F° under clear sunny skies.

**Tuesday:** Wear the same happy pants you wore the day before, because it will be the same kind of day. We’ll be starting from an overnight low of 40F° so wear a light jacket or sweater, but clear sunny skies will get the temperature up to 69F°.

### Other notes

**Early voting numbers.** Through the first nine days of voting at the [North Showers](https://www.google.com/maps/place/501+N+Morton+St,+Bloomington,+IN+47404/@39.1707495,-86.5369779,684m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x886c66d92d3cc4f5:0xb79ecc8d1acb583d!8m2!3d39.1708482!4d-86.5373847!16s%2Fg%2F11yq8cq5y6?entry=ttu&g%5Fep=EgoyMDI2MDkyOS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D) location on Morton Street, 5,269 people have cast a ballot. That’s almost 2,000 more than in 2022, but about 2,000 less than in 2018 for the same period.

This is a stat that’s easy to check for yourself on the [early voting dashboard](https://gis.co.monroe.in.us/portal/apps/dashboards/2980211891404743a0b6a45b6b1422d2) that Monroe County government has set up. In years gone by, I would check in at early voting and collect those numbers daily so that I could report them. Now I don’t have to do that, because the county government is reporting the numbers for everybody.

This very, very, good boy is a shepherd mix. **And he let the shelter staff dress him up like a pumpkin!** Here’s what the shelter staff have written about [Bubba](https://bloomington.in.gov/animal-shelter/animals/79869).

> Are you looking for a partner for your morning run? A champion for backyard tug-of-war? A professional ball-fetcher who also knows some basic commands. Stop scrolling—Bubba is your man! Bubba is a high-energy, joy-filled pup who is looking for an active family to keep up with his on the go lifestyle. He’s the kind of guy who wakes up excited and brings that same enthusiasm to everything he does. Whether he’s chasing a ball, tearing up the field in a game of fetch, or snuggling his favorite plushie, Bubba does it with all his heart. Bubba would do best in an active home with a yard where he can zoom around and burn off his happy energy. Or he'd love someone who loves to take long hikes! If you’re looking for a dog to join you on adventures, Bubba is your guy!

The skeleton riding on the back of this Honda Shadow motorcycle seems like a setup for a joke: Bone to be wild. Or: “Yea, though I ride through the valley of the Honda Shadow of Death, I will fear no Evel Knievel.” (Dave Askins, Oct. 17, 2026)

The Photo Finish items are drawn from the [B There](https://bsquarebulletin.com/tag/b-there/) section of the B Square website.
