The worn limestone steps of the Banneker Community Center are tough to navigate. At Bloomington mayor Kerry Thomson's Traveling Town Hall tonight, inside the Banneker Center, director of parks and recreation Tim Street said that the city of Bloomington had received a designated historic places grant from the state for restoring the front steps with new limestone. "Later this year, we're gonna have new front steps," Street said.
