Civic Solver: March 30, 2026

A woman died in a Saturday afternoon house fire near Smithville in southern Monroe County. A 911 call came at 2:51 p.m. for the 7000 block of S. Strain Ridge Road. Firefighters found the woman dead inside. Officials say initial evidence does not indicate foul play.
