A larger splitter island and new crosswalk recently installed at the E Winslow/E Rogers/S High roundabout, along with other improvements and reconstructions.

The full work anticipated for this project includes: asphalt resurfacing, sidewalk curb ramp improvements, crosswalk improvements including installation of a median island for crossing Winslow Road at Xavier Court and a median island for crossing Rogers Road at Spicewood Lane, installation of a concrete truck apron and widened splitter islands at the Winslow/High/Rogers roundabout, pavement marking replacements, sign updates, and storm water infrastructure updates including installation of a rain garden near Xavier Court.

Up to 50% of this project's funding is state/federal money received by the City of Bloomington through INDOT's the Community Crossings Matching Grant program.

An array of 500 U.S. flags can be seen this week along West 3rd Street in front of Ivy Tech Community College in Bloomington. It's part of a national program by the Colonial Flag Foundation, hosted by the Exchange Club of Northside Bloomington in partnership with Ivy Tech.
