But Kelly has roots in his family tree that run deep in Bloomington’s dirt: His grandparents met at IU in Bloomington, raised his mom in Chicago, and she later moved to Belfast, Ireland, where she met Jack’s dad. A text-message poll circulating to Bloomington area residents asks about mayor Kerry Thomson’s job performance, and views on city government. When asked, Thomson did not explicitly confirm that she or her campaign commissioned the survey.

Crimson Investments, LLC now owns the Bicycle Garage building. The shop has moved to 1112. S. Morton on the B-Line south of Cardinal Spirits. The ”Black Lives Matter” mural has been whitewashed over and a new IU football-themed mural is currently in progress.

CIB accepts downtown parcels, now seeks talks with Bloomington RDC on land swap to secure host hotel site

The Monroe County capital improvement board accepted downtown parcels transferred from city and county governments, then proposed swapping the Seminary Pointe block south of the convention center for the city-owned College Square site. The swap is aimed at clearing the way for a host hotel.
