Morton Street & 8th Street

A sign that reads "Not a pedestrian walkway" has been placed on a tree grate along Morton Street in front of Bloomington's hall. Public works director Adam Wason responded to an emailed question by writing, "This is an urban forestry/legal/risk management initiative to draw attention to tree grates in high pedestrian traffic areas not being intended as walking surfaces, in coordination with our insurance company for liability reasons."
