Photos: Candy Stripe Criterium brings bicycle racing back to Bloomington streets

Temperatures in the low 40s made for a crisp early Sunday morning (March 8) for the Candy Stripe Criterium bicycle race hosted by the Cycling Club at Indiana University. It was part of a two-day event.

Each race was a multi-lap event for a block of downtown north of Bloomington city hall. The race course took riders around The Mill, up and down Madison and Morton streets between 10th and 11th. The finishing drag was the uphill stretch on Morton Street, from 10th to 11th Street.

Thanks to the Cycling Club for bringing bicycle racing back to the streets of Bloomington!
