Tattoo Flash Event

Andy Mendoza Beasley from Louisville got a new cat’s cradle design from tattoo artist, Jason Profant. "Cat's Cradle" is the title of a Vonnegut novel, which introduces the word "granfalloon," which is defined as “a proud and meaningless association of human beings." One of Vonnegut's examples: Hoosiers.

Handmade Market

The market was held on the courthouse lawn and the surrounding block. The rain held off for a good part of the day. Vendors, artisans, musicians, and food trucks kept the crowd busy. Items of interest included textiles, woodworking, jewelry, and organic personal products.

Granfalloon Keynote: Lynda Barry at Buskirk-Chumley

Painter, cartoonist, writer, illustrator, playwright, editor, commentator and teacher Lynda Barry gave the Granfalloon keynote on Thursday at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater.

Poetry Slam

On Thursday, the Indiana University Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology hosted the Granfalloon Open Mic & Poetry Slam.

Sculpture

On Friday, the Cook Center featured artist Keith L. Andrews and his sculpture, "Kurt Vonnegut Altar."
