O.T. 987, the lighted sculpture that was installed as a piece of public art in April this year, does not seem like it is fully functional. Only one beam is fully lit. Others show bits that are illuminated but a few are completely dark.

A pin oak (Quercus palustris) appears to have succumbed to stress from thunderstorm wind gusts earlier in the day, splitting down its trunk and sending branches crashing down on parked cars, which sustained damage. There are no known injuries at this time.
